We finally got to visit the Great War Huts and their recreation of the WWI trenches. Wonderful attention to detail, fabulous story telling by Taff who is well known for his amazing knowledge. We even got to enjoy a homemade mince pie in the warmth of the huts after experiencing the mud of the trenches. Thank you to all involved.

Without exageration, the best living history experience I've ever had. We walked through the muddy trenches by candlelight, shuffling past solders as we learnt of the real Christmas truce in December 1914. To Taff, Lyndsay and everyone involved a very big thank you.

A free experience on a Wednesday. The place is a fond of knowledge. A real passion project and a delight to visit. I haven't stopped telling people about it. They have history in every corner literally. Free parking and plenty to learn. The team is amazing and I will need to go again!
I brought my son and he freaking loved it.

Really interesting place, very well thought out and extremely well presented. Their regular talks are well worth catching and the cake is delicious!

We went to the Christmas evening lantern walk round the trench with questions, food, and drink after. It was a great experience, very atmospheric with actors dressed in period dress and a talk on the Christmas truce on the way round. Looking forward to going back during the day.

What an amazing place!
We were tagged onto a private visit, but I would certainly say to anyone with an interest in conflict history that here you can see a tiny and not generally accessible sidelight on The Great War.
These guys are preventing a part of our history from being lost forever

Very informative explanation and history of the sight and exhibits.
Wellies essential on a wet day for the trenches, which were amazing.
Well worth a visit to recapture the authenticity of the period.
Huge effort by the team, which will be ongoing for years. So always worth another visit as the site will evolve.

Fabulous (and ongoing) project to preserve some 'ephemeral' architecture that might otherwise have ended up in the proverbial builder's skip. Great attention to detail and thoughtful research. Includes some interesting displays and soldiers' personal equipment. Regular events and talks ad open for visits, including for schools etc. A fascinating insight into what it actually felt like to be a soldier during the Great War. Excellent.

Really recommend this attraction. Run by people passionately knowledgeable on the subject, and who want to share that passion with the visitor. A very good privately run museum on the subject matter, which is far more interesting than it may sound by the title. Do give it a visit

Book a tour/event; an extremely informative & reflective experience with a selection of original WW1 huts & reconstructed trench lines. Can only get better as more huts are found & resurrected.. an absolute must
